Maple Leafs Fire Randy Carlyle
The Toronto Maple Leafs fired head coach Randy Carlyle. Ever since he was hired in March, 2012, the Maple Leafs had a record of (91-78-19). He led the Maple Leafs to the playoffs in 2013, but they were ultimately beaten by the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals in seven games. The Maple Leafs currently have a record of (21-16-3) and sit in fourth place in the Atlantic Division. Assistant coaches Peter Horachek and Steve Spott will take coaching roles in tomorrow's game against the Washington Capitals.
