Sabres Send Down Two
The Buffalo Sabres assigned forwards Matt Ellis and Philip Varone to Rochester of the American Hockey League. Ellis, 33, has no goals, assists, or points in four games this season. Varone, 24, has two goals, no assists, and two points in seven games this season.
