Sabres to Retire Hasek's Number
The Buffalo Sabres will retire former goaltender Dominik Hasek's number tonight in a pregame ceremony prior to their game against the Detroit Red Wings, another team Hasek played for. Hasek, 50 on January 29, has played in 735 career games for the Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, and Ottawa Senators. He has a career record of (389-223-82-32) with 81 shutouts. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014.
