Red Wings Call up Tom McCollum
The Detroit Red Wings called up goaltender Tom McCollum from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League due to an injury to goaltender Jimmy Howard. McCollum, 25, made his NHL debut in the 2010-11 season. He played in only one game and did not register a decision.
