Al Arbour Dies
Hall of Fame NHL head coach Al Arbour has died. He was 82. As a player, he played in 626 career games for the Red Wings, Blackhawks, Maple Leafs, and Blues. He registered 12 goals, 58 assists, and 70 points in his career. He served as the head coach for the Blues from 1970-1973 and the Islanders from 1973-1986 and 1988-1994. He also coached the Islanders in one game in the 2007-08 season. He compiled a record of (782-577-223) and he led the Islanders to four consecutive Stanley Cup championships. He was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1996. May he rest in peace.

Chris Drury, Mathieu Schneider, Angela Ruggiero, and Ron DeGregorio will be inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame. Their enshrinement will take place in Boston on December 17. Drury, 38, played in 892 career games for the Avalanche, Flames, Sabres, and Rangers. He had 255 goals, 360 assists, and 615 points in his career. Schneider, 46, played in 1,289 career games for the Canadiens, Islanders, Maple Leafs, Rangers, Kings, Red Wings, Ducks, Thrashers, Canucks, and Coyotes. He had 223 goals, 520 assists, and 743 points in his career. Ruggiero, 35, participated in four Olympic Games. She won two silver medals and one bronze medal during these games. She will also be enshrined into the Hockey Hall of Fame later this year. DeGregorio has served as the president of USA Hockey for the past 12 years and has been involved in hockey for at least 40 years. Congratulations to these four individuals on their induction!
