Sharks Place Joe Thornton on Injured Reserve
The San Jose Sharks placed forward Joe Thornton on the injured reserve. He was injured in Wednesday's game against the Anaheim Ducks after he collided with Ducks' defenseman Clayton Stoner. Thornton, 35, has nine goals, 24 assists, and 33 points in 38 games this season.
