Jets Place Kane on Injured Reserve, Call up Ellerby
The Winnipeg Jets placed forward Evander Kane on the injured reserve with a lower-body injury. Kane, 23, has six goals, nine assists, and 15 points in 26 games this season. To take his place on the roster, the Jets called up defenseman Keaton Ellerby from St. John's of the American Hockey League. Ellerby, 26, has played in 211 career games for the Panthers, Kings, and Jets. He has four goals, 22 assists, and 26 points in his career.
