Jets Place Kane on Injured Reserve, Call Up Cormier
The Winnipeg Jets placed forward Evander Kane on the injured reserve. Kane, 23, has 10 goals, 12 assists, and 22 points in 37 games this season. To take his place, the Jets called up forward Patrice Cormier from St. John's of the American Hockey League. Cormier, 24, has played in 49 career games for the Atlanta Thrashers and Winnipeg Jets. He has one goal, four assists, and five points in his career.
