Flames Call Up Potter, Send Down Wotherspoon
The Calgary Flames called up defenseman Corey Potter from Adirondack of the American Hockey League. Potter, 31, has played in 123 career games for the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers, and Boston Bruins. He has eight goals, 24 assists, and 32 points in his career. To make room, the Flames assigned defenseman Tyler Wotherspoon to Adirondack. Wotherspoon, 21, made his NHL debut with the Flames in the 2013-14 season. In 14 games, he recorded no goals, four assists, and four points.
