What is the Best Hockey Game You Have Been To?

The best game I have ever gone to was Game 3 of the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings. The Penguins, who lost the Stanley Cup to the Red Wings in 2008, entered the game down 2-0 in the series. Marc-Andre Fleury got the start in goal for the Penguins and Chris Osgood got the start for the Red Wings. Max Talbot scored at 4:48 of the first period to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead. Red Wings' forward Henrik Zetterberg scored at 6:19 to tie the game at 1-1. At 9:42, Penguins' defenseman Brooks Orpik was assessed a two-minute interference penalty. The Red Wings capitalized on the power play when Johan Franzen scored at 11:33 to give the Red Wings a 2-1 lead. At 14:46, Red Wings' forward Daniel Cleary was assessed a two-minute holding penalty. The Penguins took advantage and Kris Letang scored at 15:57 to tie the game at 2-2. After one period of play, the scored was tied 2-2. At 15:35 of the second period, Penguins' forward Miroslav Satan was called for a two-minute holding penalty. The Red Wings failed to convert on the power play. Through two periods of play, the score remained a 2-2 tie. The score remained the same for a good portion of the third period. At 9;06, Red Wings' defenseman Jonathan Ericsson was called for a two-minute interference penalty. The Penguins capitalized on the man-advantage when Sergei Gonchar scored at 10:29 to give the Penguins a 3-2 lead. Max Talbot added an empty-net goal at 19:03 to expand the Penguins' lead to 4-2. The score held true and the Penguins won the game 4-2. The Penguins evened the series with another 4-2 win in Game 4. The series went back to Detroit where the Red Wings won Game 5 by a score of 5-0 for a 3-2 series lead. Game 6 was held in Pittsburgh and the Penguins won the game 2-1 to force a critical Game 7. The Penguins won Game 7 by a score of 2-1 to win the Stanley Cup for the third time in franchise history. Game 3 was my favorite game because it was an intense game and that it was a huge win for the Penguins. What is the best game you have ever been to?
