Zajac, Larsson Diagnosed with Mumps
The NHL mumps epidemic has continued. New Jersey Devils forward Travis Zajac and defenseman Adam Larsson were both diagnosed with mumps. Other NHL players who have been diagnosed with this disease are New York Rangers forward Tanner Glass, Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry and defenseman Francois Beauchemin, and approximately five players on the Minnesota Wild including defenseman Ryan Suter. Zajac has been over with the disease and is skating, but Larsson is still quarantined from the team. Zajac, 29, has four goals, four assists, and eight points in 23 games this season. Larsson, 22, has one goal, three assists, and four points in 17 games this season.
