Flyers Acquire Sam Gagner in Three-Player Trade
The Philadelphia Flyers acquired forward Sam Gagner and a draft pick from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for defenseman Nicklas Grossmann and the contract of defenseman Chris Pronger. Gagner, 25, has played in 562 career game for the Oilers and Coyotes. He has 116 goals, 220 assists, and 336 points in his career. Grossmann, 30, has played in 531 career games for the Stars and Flyers. He has 10 goals, 69 assists, and 79 points in his career. Pronger, 40, has played in 1,167 career games for the Whalers, Blues, Oilers, Ducks, and Flyers. He has 157 goals, 541 assists, and 698 points in his career. He has not appeared in an NHL game since the 2011-12 season. The draft pick will either be a fourth-round draft pick in the 2016 NHL Draft or a third-round draft pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.
