Sabres Acquire O'Reilly, McGinn in Trade With Avalanche
The Buffalo Sabres acquired forwards Ryan O'Reilly and Jamie McGinn from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for defenseman Nikita Zadorov, forwards Mikhail Grigorenko and J.T. Compher, and a 2015 first-round draft pick. O'Reilly, 24, has played in 427 career games for the Avalanche. He has 90 goals, 156 assists, and 246 points in his career. McGinn, 26, has played in 366 career games for the Sharks and Avalanche. He has 69 goals, 59 assists, and 128 points in his career. Zadorov, 20, has played in 67 career games for the Sabres. He has four goals, 12 assists, and 16 points in his career. Grigorenko, 21, has played in 68 career games for the Sabres. He has six goals, eight assists, and 14 points in his career. Compher, 20, has yet to appear in an NHL game.
