Hurricanes Acquire Kris Versteeg in Multi-Player Deal

The Carolina Hurricanes acquired forwards Kris Versteeg and Joakim Nordstrom and a third-round draft pick in the 2017 NHL Draft from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for defenseman Dennis Robertson, the negotiating rights to defenseman Jake Massie (not pictured), and a fifth-round draft pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. Versteeg, 29, has played in 473 career games for the Blackhawks, Maple Leafs, Flyers, and Panthers. He has 116 goals, 159 assists, and 275 points in his career. Nordstrom, 23, has played in 54 career games for the Blackhawks. He has one goal, five assists, and six points in his career. Robertson, 24, has yet to appear in an NHL game. Massie, 18, has also not appeared in an NHL game.
